Horopito
Horopito is a very slow growing plant that takes 5 years+ before it can be harvested. Horopito leaves have traditionally been used by the Maori and taken orally,
Horopito was used for treating diarrhoea, stomach ache and poor circulation due to its astringent (tissue tightening) and antiseptic properties.
Kumarahou & Kawakawa
A blend of 50/50 Kumarahou & Kawakawa leaves to make a refreshing tea. historically this was used to balance of blood sugars, for high cholesterol and blood pressure, Coughs, colds, Emphysema and Asthma. Again this has been used to support arthritis, rheumatism, respiratory ailments and cleansing the blood.

However the herb itself was also an important medicine in Rongoa - traditional Maori herbal medicine.
The leaf is rich in tannins and essential oil and is considered to be astringent and anti-spasmodic, these properties coupled with the reported anti-microbial effects of the essential oil may make it useful for digestive upsets.
